Every Dropbox photo, every face, all one searchable library.

Facevault runs directly on your Dropbox: it indexes your photo folders and recognizes the people in them — automatically, privately, and on photos taken years apart.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

Connect Dropbox

Link your Dropbox account. Nothing is copied somewhere else — the app reads your Dropbox library in place, in the folders you choose.

Pick your Dropbox folders

Choose exactly which Dropbox folders should be indexed. New photos appearing in those folders are picked up and synchronized.

Find and label people

Faces are grouped and proposed as people. Name a group once and its photos get tagged with that name — on the files themselves, in Dropbox.

Recognizes people, not just faces

Photos of the same person — different years, angles, lighting — are grouped into one identity you can label.

Search by name

“Find Julian at the harbour” — every photo of a labeled person is one search away. And in Dropbox itself, the name sits on each photo as a file tag.

Quality review built in

Blurry or off-angle detections are flagged for review instead of quietly polluting your people tags.

Strictly private by design

Every account sees only its own photos and identities. Your library is never mixed with anyone else's.
